Our experience — shaping Built for Life Hub

Built for Life Hub brings together the combined experience of The Mentoring Project and The Right Path, two organisations dedicated to improving outcomes for children through mentoring, specialist SEMH support and life skills education. Both have worked directly with children and young people across schools, youth services and alternative provision, supporting those who may be disengaged, vulnerable or facing complex challenges — through mentoring programmes, specialist interventions, professional training and published resources.

The Right Path is a specialist SEMH service that has collaborated with national organisations including Women's Aid, White Ribbon, IDAS, West Mercia Police, Local Education Authorities, Virtual Schools, Multi Academy Trusts and schools across the West Midlands and West Mercia — supporting young people to develop emotional awareness, confidence and safer decision-making.

The Mentoring Project complements this through mentoring programmes, practitioner training and structured resources that help children understand themselves, reflect on their choices and plan positive futures. Delivery across primary and secondary schools has given valuable insight into the real pressures young people face today — identity and peer pressure, online influences, confidence, relationships, boundaries and the need for positive role models.

This real-world experience has directly shaped Built for Life Hub, ensuring the platform provides practical, trusted resources that help children navigate challenges, build self-belief and recognise that success is possible for them.
